This isn’t quite accurate since it doesn’t account for waitlist movement of which there is A LOT. |
| In the 300s for prek 4...fingers crossed for March 30 |
They do try to keep families together. When your pk3 kid gets in, make sure you let them know that you have a kid on the K waitlist. With the uncertainty of next year, they may lose K kids. It will be over the summer if it happens, so prepare yourself for a long wait. |
| I am in the single digits for PK... |
| Interesting. Looks like they either did not re-order the K list or there are no K siblings of kids who got in for pk3. |
Not really- since 2014 they have steadily opened new classes every year. This is the first year in a long time when they will not be opening a new class. |
Single digits overall, or single digits after the first 25? |
My twins are actually several 100 spots apart ... but on the preK4 list with the better number still far below 10 so won't bother looking into it. |
I think that twins have random numbers BUT if one gets in the other one gets pulled up behind. So if neither get in, they stay at their randomly assigned number. |
In the top 10 |
Sorry, I mean top 10 for Kinder. I am the poster who asked how many kids were accepted in K last year. |
|
My twins were next to each other in the LAMB lottery and when one got in the other got in. They didn';t end up going though.
I think it is a sad commentary on the state of DC schools that anyone still wants to send their kids to LAMB though after the way they mishandled the sexual abuse cases. |
Those who mishandled it have been fired or asked to leave. My children's teachers and community are wonderful- I am glad the school has removed the toxic elements and is looking forward. |
| Is 18 for PK4 improbable? We had 489 last year for PK3. So seems like we won the lottery one year too late. |
I don't think there will be that much movement since the school is staying at South Dakota this year. I absolutely think next year there will be significant churn. |
