Yep, and close in, too.

That's because hotels know there will be many no-shows from Dems that already reserved/paid for them. The hotels can now sell them a second time.

That's not quite how that works.

Yeah it is, it's called over-booking. Airlines and hotels do it all the time.

I don't think they can double book guaranteed reservations without compensation.

When you pre-pay a room for a major event like this, you seldom are guaranteed a specific room. The way this works is that the hotel sells many rooms pre-paid and as the date approaches they make an educated guess at how many will no-show. This year that number will be quite a few. If you don't think these no-show rooms will be filled (and paid for twice) then you are naive.

No they don't. They voted for him because they thought he would bring their jobs back. And take away their health care. And shit rainbows!

I would
Show up and make it a vacation. I definitely would not give the hotel money. Alternatively I would check in online and not show up. Can't resell the room then now can you.

some interesting posts here. I think the hotel occupancy for folks attending the inauguration will run right around Trump's EC margin - the bookings will probably run in the bottom third of inaugural bookings. There will be lots of Trump supporters in town, but not like there was in 1980 or 2008. There are more folks who probably see Trump more as a means to an end - "drown government in a bath tub" - than are firmly in his court.

You're not the brightest bulb. They still made money because you paid...and they don't have to clean the room because you didn't show up...so they double win because you're an infant.

He's still packing the house on his thank America tour. A few sourpusses won't ruin the inauguration

If you read carefully, the poster is stating that because the money is nonrefundable, s/he will not allow the hotel to double profit, nor allow a Trump supporter to get that room. Read more carefully, because the post also states an alternative is to just use the room and make it a vacation. It seems as though your bulb doesn't shine so bright. It's just a wee bit dim, dim, dimmer.

Listen clown and try real hard to think. The hotel still makes money. You paid. If you show up or not they still booked it. She said alternatively she wouldn't show up, even better.

I'd say the lights on no ones home but in your case there's no light either...

Thanks for reminding us of his little thank you tour. What a narcisist!
