In your pride, you arrogate to yourself that which rightly belongs to God. Your pride is your sin. Whoever hath proud eyes and a haughty heart, him I will not endure. |
Jesus didn't talk about homosexuality. In fact, he rarely talked about adultery. In fact, he sat with prostitutes and sinners. His predominant message -- the stuff he talked about the MOST -- was helping your neighbor, not judging your neighbor. |
I voted for Trump because Pence was on the ticket. It was necessary. The end justifies the means. I cannot control another person's fidelity but I can influence politics with my vote which I have done brilliantly. Trump best represented the kind of country I want to live in. I am not answerable for his peccadilloes or past sins. Furthermore, voting for someone who has sinned (we all have) does not make me a sinner for doing so. |
Spin it anyway you want. You are a fu!!!ng hypocrite. That's all. |
Spin it anyway you want. You are a basic lying hypocrite. That's all |
And you are a petty sore loser
|
You guys make me feel so good about my decision not to vote for Hillary
|
And why did he sit with the prostitutes (both male and female) and sinners? Was it to take off his robe and have an orgy with them, or was it as he said: to heal the sick and call sinners to repentance. He sat with them to tell them that what they were doing is wrong and that there is a better way to live your life which means obeying the commandments of God, that if any one calls upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ that person will be saved. What did he tell the woman at the well, "Drink some water and go screw around with more men who aren't your husband"? No, he told her Go and sin no more. Think it through, please. |
yeah totally. I voted Clinton but it seems many of my fellow travelers have not absorbed the learnings from this election. The Democratic party has, incredibly, lost the white working class. Obama's charisma created a short term blip that masked the long term trend. If we are the socially-minded people that we say we are, we need to empathize with our fellow Americans who are hurting and support Trump's efforts to stimulate job creation for them, assuming he actually presents a plan. |
Nope Hillary won by close to 2 Million votes. Even the fake EC win is by barely winning 4 states by 1%. |
Maybe. But but I'm no hypocrite |
I agree that Hillary ran a bad campaign and ignored the pain of the mid western whites who lost factory jobs. But they didn't listen to Hillary's message that will actually help them with retraining, help with community college tuition, better access to healthcare. Instead they voted for someone that cuts taxes to the wealthy, cut education budget, abolish obamacare and make access to healthcare even worse. THEY HEARD the call of "bring back jobs" BUT didn't ask how, because the trump proposals won't bring back jobs to them. The reality is machines are taking over manufacturing and US has no cards to play against China to bring back the jobs. Even if somehow he threatens companies to get the jobs back, the move will raise the cost of goods consumed by the same voters and inflation will raise, companies will layoff. Back to square one. |
As someone who claims to believe in God and Christ don't you believe that Heaven is your home and not this earth? Doesn't your God and your Christ teach you that your job on earth is to bring people to heaven not make laws that make you more comfortable? Doesn't your God and your Christ teach you that you are to follow his laws ( meaning no abortions etc for yourselves) no matter the laws of the land? How are different from the Muslims and others you condemn when you attempt to force your beliefs on everyone through law? |
You are the one who needs to think it through. What did he do first? Did he call her names and condemn her? But many of the people who claimed to be following the religious teachings ( as you do) did. No. He met her right where she was and loved her and befriended her. Secondly he encouraged her to change her ways, but did not try to force her to do so, he showed her a different way, but the choice was hers and that was God. Do you think you are more than your God? |
I have thought it through. He never talked about homosexuality being a sin, for one. The reason he sat with the prostitutes is in part because he recognized that they weren't prostitutes because they loved having sex for money. He sat with them because he was trying to tell people to have sympathy and understand that, if anything, the real sinners were the Johns who went to them -- and the Johns were the very same people throwing stones! He sat with them to point out the hypocrisy in other people. So you spew hatred toward people who are in committed monogamous relationships and want to marry (gay couples who want to be married) but you're totally cool voting for someone who has committed adultery, divorced, etc? |
