Do you think I should file appeal?

No CogAT?

My child had a similar WISC and a lower NNAT, but a decent CogAT and was admitted. I don't have the GBRS, but I suspect it was decent because they teacher told us she thought we should refer.

Cogat is lower.

No.

I think you shoukd wait, give your kid time to mature, and if the child shows a big jump in ability next year then request a retest in fourth grade. If the scores go up significantly, tyen refer again for fifth grade or middle school admittance.

NNAT: 115
Cogat: 120
GBRS: 10

Is WISC-V score correlated to Cogat? Is there a threshold WISC-V score to make it worth an appeal?

Is the base school meeting his needs?

Sometimes it is better to be near the top in one school than solidly at the bottom at another.

DC was receiving Level III services for both Math and LA in 2nd grade. We did not submit any supporting materials or certificates.

I though you can only receive level-2 services in 2nd grade and level-3 starts only from grade-3.

The GBRS comments and the Ratings are so conflicting. The comment says the kid is consistently doing good. Comments for all the 4 sections says our kid is a consistent top performer in the class, but the rating given are 1 or 2. It sounds more like the teacher thinks 1 is the top??? The report card submitted are all almost 4.

What should be the ideal comment for 1 and 4

That would be worth asking the AART for clarification.

Interested in more info on appeals process and whether or not it's worth it. Our school is a center, so no issue in changing schools. Have been disappointed in teachers as my child is somewhat bored, but they don't seem to be pushing advanced services (kid is happy to be with friends).
