Actually, it is just booze in our case (wine for me). Hangovers much worse in mid-40s. I can honestly say never tried anything hardcore like coke. Thank you, Nancy Reagan 'just say no'.

Well before that happened I'm sure what it involved was lots of drugs and other goodies/parties. And if you are both coke-heads I'm sure it is less of a turnoff that he is one too. Btw he is 51, not really elderly just older..especially for someone that is almost 40 herself.

I do not know this man, I'm just disgusted by this situation. The few pictures I have seen of him show him to be a guy that looks his age if not a bit older than that. I am actually his age so maybe my sympathy level is low for what he was doing and how he and his buddy treated this woman. Of course she was responsible for herself and she got herself into this...but still. Those guys were awful.

The police are searching the apartment in an effort to find whatever downers she consumed. She was either roofied or she took too many sleeping pills/downers, which she probably self-prescribed. After a night of partying, many cocaine users will take some benzos or sleeping pills to help them fall asleep. She could have been inebriated and taken way too many. This could cause her to suffocate in her sleep. Mixing uppers and downers is a bad combo.

The underwear in her purse is also a very bad sign. I'm leaning toward roofies being the culprit, after she had already willingly consumed cocaine.

Really? Married women who have young children go out partying alone in another city, many times, with "friends?" Who are you hanging around with?

Hmm. Second marriage and house was only 1.2 million in a very expensive cost of living area--not the different from most close-in suburbs around here. I know maybe 1 or 2 (also second marriages) of DW that might be able to swing this-but neither has a job too. And---wait--one was sent to jail...so that leaves one.
