I think a lot of people on this site are really naïve if they find it so hard to believe that was this woman's life. I'm sure there are plenty of other women out there like her.

Yep. How on earth does someone look like her AND drink heavily, use coke and downers and stay up all night long on the weekends ---- at the age of 38 and with 3 little kids at home. And a demanding career.

You would think that would have landed her in rehab long before she get this hellishly deep.

If you are not successful, you are not going to be able to afford a coke habit. It's not a drug you typically get into in your teens. It's fairly common practice in law/wallstreet, among the young professional crowd. Think of how many celebrities have died from cocaine related overdoses. For some, it's how they manage with the stress of a demanding career. She worked in a hospital though so I don't know how they never figured out she was using, I can see it being easier to get away with in other careers.

I saw it when I partied as a young adult - it was not my thing so I really do not know that much about it. But as a middle aged mom? Ha, no. My life is very boring. Blessedly boring.
