| No way would I date you. That's too fat. |
OP, I hope your date goes really well. . I'm glad you decided not to wait. You can lose weight while you're dating, nbd.
Adding to the comments posted by a few others - when I met my husband (12.5 years ago) I was around 210-220 lbs (at 5'4.5"), and when we married I was 230. I was at a high weight of 280 when I began losing weight - and I lost 147 lbs to end up at 133. I got pregnant, gained a ton, and now at 17 months pp I have lost nearly all of it (136 lbs presently). At my highest weight I was a size 22-24, and I'm presently a size 6. My husband has loved me at every stage and every weight, and he was most definitely not a man with a specific interest in BBW when we met and married. Be yourself, be good to yourself, lose weight for yourself. The right man will appreciate you for you, through all stages of your life. |
| I am a woman - if you were a guy I wouldn't date you. But I know there are people out there who find more fat attractive. And people who really don't care about looks at all. Overweight bothers me not because of looks but because it isn't healthy. And an overweight person could not do all the stuff that I regularly do with my partner for fun and exercise. You could easily be a friend - but not a date. |
You made a good choice in making her your EX. You really got a raw deal with that one. |
These are almost the exact same stats for me, but I am an inch taller. I have a lot of muscle and a small waist. I fit well into size 18 bottom and an XL top. |
| The only size-descriptive numbers I care about are those of your bank account. |
Then you should reassess.....because someone who cannot maintain their health is going to have financial problems as well. |
Oh, stop it. You're reinforcing a stupid and false stereotype. I am fat but make a terrific living and have $$$ in the bank. No financial problems whatsoever. |
|
I'm sorry, no, I would not date you. 215 pounds is humungous and unhealthy and makes me wonder about depression and self-control and other mental issues. And gross odors.
I'm sorry. |
LOL, sure you're sorry. Jerk. |
No, not a jerk, just honest. 215 pounds is obese. Obese is disgusting and unnatural and unhealthy. You have to eat about 10,000 calories a day to end up like that. Probably in secret. |
You obviously suck at math |
My friend who is just over 50 is about that size and has had plenty of men contact her for online dating. She is a pear-shaped body type, big curves for boobs/butt, pretty face, one would guess she was well under 200lbs but isn't. She is nOt having a problem attracting men. She was upfront with pics and about her size and plenty of guys were still interested. Not everyone wants bones

| Wow OP you must carry it well. I"m a size 14 and I"m only 175 pounds. |
|
5' 8" and 215 pounds is obese.
I don't understand PPs' glossing over this and making out like it does not matter. There may be a few men who like fat women but most don't. |
