Not to hijack the thread, but I have noticed that there are very few divorced parents in our Big 3 private school. Certainly well under the national stats one reads about, and much fewer than the other groups of our friends (neighborhood, college, church (!)).

Have you noticed the same thing? What are your theories why?

It's well supported by data that the higher the socio-economic status, the lower is the divorce rate. The rich have more to lose in a divorce than the poor. In this bad economy, the divorce rate has decreased for all socio-economic classes as everyone has more to lose than in a good economy.

Wrong. Rich and poor get divorced the most. Upper middle class the least.

The national divorce rate includes all the "couples" gettign married in thier teens with little prospect for success. Those who are more well off wait longer and I suspect the rate is MUCH lower on average - but their seesm to be a spike as kids get into high school.

Hot dad in Form V (11th grade) at STA is the husband of hot mom about whom I posted in the hot-mom thread. That is one gorgeous couple! They are non-white (no identifying details, though, so I can't be more specific), tall, and both hot. His hair is dark and wavy, he is always well-groomed and well-dressed, and he had beautiful eyes.
