Oh come on, lighten up. I've never met a man who didn't appreciate hearing that more than a few women find him very attractive, doubly so a man who is near 50.

As far as tracing up from the cute kids, THAT is a missperception. First off, kids generally have lots of hair , whereas Dad, well, maybe not so much on top anymore, ya' know. Shit happens.

When talking " Hot Dad", the Dad must be evaluated independantly. Personality is also a big factor. Extra points for the ability to put everyone at ease with good manners and a little genuine humility.
So, I guess you don't give a damn how it makes the wife feel? Not all people who are targets of your so called admiration appreciate it, and I'm pretty sure if the wife is black she doesn't appreciate a bunch of white women talking about her man in public this way. You may find these posts amusing and, yes, the subjects may find some of it flattering but sometimes unsolicited flattery can backfire.

I would suggest posters be careful what they say. It's not just the object of your lust that's reading this. If you are somehow outed at one of these schools, there may be hell to pay from a spouse/partner. Also, think how you would feel if someone described you as attractive but with a big ass and dark roots?

PP shut up trying to stereotype "black feelings." I'm black with a hot husband and appreciate that other women find him attractive. It doesn't matter if it's a bunch of white, black, Asian, Latina women eyeballing my man or telling me to my face how handsome he is. Believe it or not our thoughts, feelings, and emotions can be quite similar to yours. Heck, there a few white hotties in my DS's form that I can't wait to see at the next school or family event.

If you're a little different at STA you will stick out there's no hiding.
06:16 here. First of all, I don't have to shut up, and I am not stereotyping anybody. And another thing, smart ass, you don't know whether I'm white, black, pink, purple, male, or female. If you want people up in your husband's face or yours feeding you lines about how good handsome your husband is, that's fine. But don't assume that every male at schools want that kind of attention. To some it is offensive and putting personal information on this site is above and beyond what is good taste. You haven't a clue how these men will react or their wives. You have given descriptions of these parents and while you think it's just good old fashioned fun, it can backfire whether you like it or not.

And for the record, since you assume that I might be white, I honestly and truly don't believe you are black. White hottie? Yeah, right.

Your poor DH is probably one lucky guy, Mrs. Uptight. You seem like a real good time.

So our top 3 choices are Beauvoir, Maret, and GDS for K. Assuming that we get accepted (I know, I know), based solely on hotness of dads, which school should we pick?

I don't see what's so uptight about the poster. I'm not so sure I would want a whole lotta strangers having personal info about my hubby. Hopefully, this forum will die a slow death. There is no doubt the schools mentioned have seen this forum and are probably much embarrassed. Hmmm, definitely sends out a message to those applying what type of folk they can anticipate associating with at the so-called upscale privates. Flame away!

You mean the post that said that one ethnicity was smarter but uglier than everyone else? Yeah, based on that post I'd definitely avoid GDS.

What personal info: Handsome AA man is a first year parent at the school? Totally embarrassing details.

New poster. Maybe not that the individual details are so embarrassing, but rather that it's not enjoyable to be the subject of public conversation here (or at least I'd imagine that's true for most people). I also am surprised that moms from that school are having this discussion in public. Sort of paints the school in a gossipy light.

Paints the school in a gossipy light?

Wade around the Private/Independent School forum for a second or two. You'll see that this is the norm, rather than the exception. Which is why it's always so busy and fun . . .

Yeah, I've been around this forum for a few years now, so I'm well aware of how the discussion can get. But gossip about the attractiveness of a particular parent at a particular school (even if not identified by name) is reaching to a new low, IMHO.

Fair point.

Frankly, if we can move beyond the two gals doing battle over that AA post, we could have some fun with this thread. I actually like that GDS post. General enough so that it could be quite a number of people, but with enough specific detail to make it interesting.

Any mother who sends her kid to a school even partially based on the "hottest dads" is truly the mark of a terrible parent, in more ways than one.

Hell, any woman over 30 who uses the adjective "hot" to describe anyone has issues.

Of course the mother load of such things would have to be WIS. Looking to send DD there. LOL.

Does hubby know about your fetish for third world men?

Umm, above poster. Here is your homework assignment: look up BRIC, and then get back to us when you have reconciled your 1970's perceptiions with the 21st century reality.

I looked it up. I find four countries that NOBODY on this board would want to live in. Your point?

PP , you are taking this WAY too seriously. Way too.
