Your standards are much lower than mine if you think that TC Williams is "excellent."

Well, that's been apparent since since you started posting in this thread three weeks ago. BTW, time to change you diaper, you soiled yourself again just thinking about sending you kid to ACPS.

You're rationalizing again and overcompensating. A few of the elementary schools are good. Both the middle schools suck and have sucked for a long time. TC works for a very small group of students who are put into a bubble but fails an unacceptable number -- the motto at TC is not "expect excellence." More recently it has been "we won't give up on you." Beyond that, the ACPS has a fundamentally messed up administration and a superintendent who keeps throwing shit at the wall and seems shocked when nothing sticks. There's a perfectly good reason so many upper middle class families flee the school system come third or fourth grade.

Remind me again why Wakefield has a higher dropout rate than TC and why APS just sits by and lets people flee.

We're not talking about Wakefield. We're talking about T.C. Williams. You know, the school just featured in USA Today for handing out contraception, including Plan B, to minors inside the school. http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/forum/story/2012-04-03/teen-pregnancy-birth-control-schools/53979070/1

No wonder ACPS superintendents like to drink.
