You're rationalizing again and overcompensating. A few of the elementary schools are good. Both the middle schools suck and have sucked for a long time. TC works for a very small group of students who are put into a bubble but fails an unacceptable number -- the motto at TC is not "expect excellence." More recently it has been "we won't give up on you." Beyond that, the ACPS has a fundamentally messed up administration and a superintendent who keeps throwing shit at the wall and seems shocked when nothing sticks. There's a perfectly good reason so many upper middle class families flee the school system come third or fourth grade.[/quote]
