If someone is a size 12, do you think they are fat?

I'm 5'9" and weigh 155 after having a handful of kids, and I'm a size 12. I'm fairly toned (mommy muscles), but my tummy is a mess thanks to multiple c-sections (thus, size 12). I look more curvy than fat since I'm so tall. But I am trying to lose the last ten pounds of baby weight. When I do, I will likely be size 10, and that's fine with me.

Fwiw, I was a size 8 ten years ago, and I was very slender and toned (again, I'm tall with curves, so it would be nearly impossible to be much smaller). I was a size 4/6 when I got married, and that was a very skinny unhealthy weight for me given my height and build.

I'm in the process of losing 10 lbs (lost 6 already). I can maybe squeeze into a 10, but it's tight. So, no I do not think I'm fat. I think clothes are cut a little differently than they used to be also. BUT mostly, I think your friend is an ass with issues about her own body.

There is no way that you weigh 123 pounds and are a size 12 unless you're 4'11, in which case you are fat.

I think we just learned something about your character.

You're a size 12 BECAUSE you've had multiple c-sections?!! I've had four c-sections and I'm a size 2/4. Stomach fat in the middle is from what you eat, not c-sections. You may never have a completely "flat" stomach, but you can be a size 8 after kids. I despise when women blame their weight problems on having kids. Exercise and eat right. There is no magic wand.

That's funny! I'm actually in great shape after 3 c-sections myself but I'm not going to put down others because of it. I'm not superior to them in any way. And you aren't either.

Women be crazy. Do think men sit around and think about others men's pant size.

I was pretty fat at a size 12, but I'm only 5'5" and not very muscular. Someone taller and with a different build might look great as a 12.

I feel really bad for people who waste their lives away being so concerned about what others think of them.

Be healthy, be happy, and live your life. It's yours. It doesn't belong to the thoughts of others.

What a very sad thread. The way in which people are responding to each other here, putting others down-almost as if that was the original intent by OP. A setup for a myriad of pages to let cold-hearted messages bounce off one another. Just love yourself and choose to be happy and healthy.

I wear a size 12. I'm not fat. I would like to drop 5-10 lbs, but my BMI is what it is supposed to be. If I needed to drop 20-50 lbs and wore a size 12, then maybe I would feel I am fat. But that is not the case. After 2 kids things just didn't land back in the same place. With my body changes came a change in clothing size to accommodate those changes. This thread is just so mean spirited.
