All law enforcement learned long ago not to trust most restaurants. They call in orders for pick up so it’s ready when they get there. They only order in person at friendly restaurants. It’s sad that a local police officer has to worry about things like this.

The fundamental problem, besides the Supreme Court overthrowing Terry without explanation (see about about MAGA English, now as MAGA Law), is that there's no way to get probable cause for an immigration "crime", because it's a crime that leaves no evidence on the suspect's person. It's purely a crime of (usually missing) paperwork.
