| Le Moyne College is another Jesuit college. |
My kid is there now, and I went there. It continues to improve. The traditions are there, but it is flexible and loving. My kid has been there a year and a half. The president and his wife know his name. Huge on social justice. |
| Canisius College in Buffalo is also Jesuit |
And it's in a nice part of Baltimore. (Used to live around the corner
|
Yeah but just next door to the campus on the east side is not nice at all. My kid goes there and even on the “nice” side, there was a shooting at a convenience store right next to the dorms. My kid grew up in Baltimore so he’s pretty street smart but there is still a ton of crime everywhere now in the city and the county. Just an FYI. |
| Don’t know how some of the lesser known Jesuit schools survive financially. |
Yes by mid70s it was not. |
|
My guess is BC was a commuter school well into the 80s just like some of the others PC and Nova.

Jesuit colleges teach a lot of ethics. They are hardly churning out greedy people. Why would you not want lots of thoughtful ethical thinkers with a humanities foundation taking their place in business? And most people in business don't get rich. That's not why they're there. |
Yeah, during the Second Coming, maybe Jesus will become a Finance Bro. |
Ever heard of the Kennedys? |
Hardly. And finance bros aren't generally the products of Jesuit institutions. |
BC was not a commuter school in the 1980s. |
| WalletHub 2026 college rankings places Holy Cross at number 8 among all liberal arts schools for best career outcomes. HC ranked better than Amherst College, Swarthmore, Davidson, and Colby. |
| Not surprised about Holy Cross doing so well but non-Jesuit ND grads also highly successful. Notre Dame endowment at $20 billion is perhaps higher than the top 10 Jesuit schools combined. |
