Why blabbering about Notre Dame? This is about Jesuit schools.

ND is the flagship of all Catholic schools by significant amount. GU is barely Catholic and HC is a LAC.

You’d be wrong. By the 1970 there were very few commuters.

ND may be best academically but more conservative than Jesuit brethren Georgetown and Holy Cross.

Georgetown should be shown the door and lose its catholic accredidation. Yes ND is more conservative than HC and BC - all three are still good schools for the right "fit".

Georgetown is oldest Catholic school in US founded 1789. ND 1842 and Holy Cross 1843. All three have been the go to schools for generations. GU will always remain Catholic just in a different way from Notre Dame.

Since I got into #69 Tulane I sure am feeling better about my chances at #57 UC Merced. US news ranking has devolved into some sort of weird DEI fan fic. Has absolutely nothing to do with reputation

Only 3 Jesuit schools are academically well respected Georgetown, Holy Cross, and Boston College. The rest seem average at best and don’t know how they compete with higher ranked state schools.

You forgot Fordham, Santa Clara, Gonzaga, LMU, and a whole host of other great schools. These are “academically well respected” despite what you think.

Haha! There is no such thing!

For Class of 2029. Georgetown acceptance rate 12%, yield 47%. Holy Cross acceptance rate 17%, yield 47%. By contrast. Gonzaga acceptance rate 80%, yield 16%. LMU 49% acceptance rate, yield 14%. Santa Clara acceptance rate48%, yield 17%. Clearly Georgetown and Holy Cross are extremely selective the others are nowhere near.

It’s about half in Boston & about half in Newton, in a neighborhood that is partly in Newton, partly in Boston, & partly in Brookline.

Holy Cross clown, your desperation is embarrassing.
