Taylor just doesn’t have the sexuality or sex appeal to pull off a song about Travis Kelce’s penis without sounding ridiculous and cringeworthy.

She has been singing about sex for years, but for some reason, people tune it out. Are you ready for it, dress, guilty as sin, just to name a few.

Yea. Guilty as Sin was so good. "What if you've written mine on my upper thigh only in my mind" can't compare to a litany of dick puns. At very least she chickened out on dickmatized.

Do you think she's making fun of fans with wood, and all their talk about her and Travis in that way?

I love Father Figure!

I like the new album… It’s growing on me. I think she’s marketing this one so different though, it does feel like a last chance money grab. She’s already said she’s not going to tour again for a while. I do think she wants to settle down and have a baby. I think she knows this is the beginning of the end.

And that’s fine, she’s accomplished things no one else has. I’m sure she will put out more albums, but I think having the first ever tour to top 1 billion, it’s going take a generation or more to top that again if ever. She’s achieved icon status.

I don't know her catalogue that well, but I think lines like "bought this dress so you can take it off" and "in the middle of the night, in my dreams, you should see what we do" are at least subtle enough to leave an air of mystery... "key to my thighs" is tacky and cheesy. Maybe she had other lines that were that OTT but I'm not aware of them.

This album seems like she is giving herself permission to be campy. That is what I am taking from some of these lyrics.

The songs don't seem to match the show girl theme, which is my issue with it but I really love some of the songs! Just feels like a disconnect between the branding and what it is.

I think she's addressed this in interviews and in the album notes and social media. It is about her life behind the scenes during Eras.

I love it! Especially the first four songs.

Really depends on your corner of the internet. My algorithm knows me well. I’m watching people singing and dancing along. It’s a good time.

My early favorites are Opalite, The Fate of Ophelia, and Father Figure.

Kids aren't checking for her like that. Swift's core fan base is 43 year old wine moms and spinsters.
Um, do you just post to post with no credibility to your statements, often? Her tour was filled with young girls and teenagers.

Do the wine moms (alleged fan base noted in an earlier post) want their young girls listening to a song that talks about what helped to open her thighs?

Do you have teens? My DD went to a midnight listing party with a bunch of other high school girls. They have plans tonight to go to the movie.

Does your DD like all the songs?

Fate of ophelia and actually romantic (the wet line coild be cut out though), otherwise, meh. But Im the brand of TS fan that likes her last 3-4 albums and that is it. Basically her matty era.

I agree the hate is weird. Ttpd i understood- it was a different kind of ts album (and ultimately critics and fans came around). This one feels like
1) its not the time for soft light songs (the world is burning)
2) we are killing our idols (tale as old as time)
3) women cant get this rich and powerful
