That would never happen because no schedule would fit everyone schedule 100% |
So she’ll have to drop an activity. Life is like that sometimes…it happens to all families. |
This is not a clean start initiative. We all currently have it sorted one way or another, but instead of making it easier for us to sort it (ok the sacc expansion is an effort towards that), this creates a massive new disruption. |
Is Reid posting on this thread? Sounds like it. |
My kid’s school currently starts at 9:20, and this is about what his schedule is (I think his lunch is 1:50). He and his classmates are fine. Kids don’t care. |
| The elementary kids need daylight and outdoor playtime |
Not a compelling argument when you don’t actually know the time. The latest lunch I have ever seen was 1:35 pm. |
Just drop your activities! Just shift your child’s schedule later! Just find a new place for Scouts to meet or a new field to practice on! It’s not hard to bend over and take it because your betters obviously know what’s best for you … oops did I say that out loud, I meant, AdApT!!!!!1 |
My goodness. |
My kid went to a larger FCPS elementary school with a later start time. In 6th grade, their class had lunch around 1 hour after they arrived at school and ended the day around 4PM. Another grade had lunch around 90 minutes before tge end of the day. |
| If they really cared about the parents/kids they could allow 3 middle schools in the pyramid for the middle school to all have different start times and allow parents to pick the one that works best for them. They could honestly have two start times for middle school as well. |
| Sorry meant elementary school above |
It will be - the sun sets closer to 4pm in the winter. |
I sub at a school that starts at 9:10. The last lunch starts at 2:05. Another ES starts at 8:45. The first lunch is 10:25 and the last starts at 1:25. |
Responses like this definitely give off an entitled vibe. |
