It’s sorority video season

That’s not the only reason. ASU is only about 45% white.

I’m guessing SoCal, Arizona and Texas suburbs from the title of the video. Lots of MAGA there.

Some of us can tell the difference between actually having fun and playing the role of a girl who’s having fun.

This is probably the dumbest post on this thread. Politics aside, I hope we can agree on that.

Yay, that’s my post! I stand by it. This is performative BS. That’s all they know how to do.

Well, it's literally a performance, so you're right about that. Your last sentence is incoherent (mercifully for you, I think).

As I said, they’re playing the role of a girl who’s having fun. For the camera. For the exposure and likes.

Do you use social media? Do you understand the difference between reality and the lengths that people go to to appear to be having way more fun than they really are?

It's really destructive and young people, in fact, all people should be encouraged to not get too involved in it.

Parenting 101.

Quite a lot of diversity in sorority experiences (if not much actual diversity irl).

All good. Just hope they're not maga. It's fine to wear cowboy boots and not be maga. Maga offers nothing to young women, quite the opposite.

Her username is literally AvaMAGAQuee. So I think it’s safe to say she is MAGA?

not to mention if you go look at her twitter feed, she literally says "being white is a source of pride".... hmmm how do you say you're racist without saying your racist?

So gross.

I watched the video. And I absolutely think 20 year olds should revel in their moment. You can be attractive for a long time, but you can't be young for very long. It goes... poof, very quickly. Twenty years from now, these dancers are going to look at this and think, yeah, that was good.

That being said, I think only the dark haired dancer was really enjoying it. You can kind of feel the pressure that goes into these performative sorority videos. And who wants that stress at that age.

Doing your thing at 20 and having everything posted online is not a healthy space.

Well said. Since when is fake oversexualized conformity genuine fun?

MAGA seems to think it’s fun. Look at all of the plastic women in Trump’s sphere.

The system is designed for rich white girls who have little interest in academics, and attracts mean girls. You can find other sorority experiences if you're discerning, especially at the more highly ranked schools. Those are usually not the ones going viral on TikTok.

It is good that these women are taking control of their lives. Onlyfans is such a promising and lucrative option for many.

Sorority fundraiser?

Creepy. So many heavily made up soul-less bots.

I always said I’d rather join a fraternity—just drink and play beer pong w/out the drama. Someone told me “whenever a large group of women get together, they are a bunch of b@tches”. I did attend a large university with very minimal Greek life, so there’s that. And, yes, I was very attractive because I know the inevitable …response to a post like this so let me just get that out there.

You are Not Like Other Girls.

Fairly common in California, especially along the coast and Central Valley

Is it really that fun? Dance as much as you want but just look at that video. So many skinny blondes and fake blondes all dressed the same. Eating food without having to go throw it up is also fun. A lot of fun.

More fun than the purple haired, tattooed, chubby, perpetually offended girls are having, I'd bet.

See the whole Greek vibe is not my thing or my kids jam but I see nothing wrong with the videos. By turning it around and then making fun of other types of kids (or even assuming if you are not in one of those videos, you are fat and have purple hair) is just as silly as the PP making fun of the sorority girls.
