Jewish sleepaway camps are popular and then kids just continue on to be counselors. Their connections definitely help them get into the Jewish sororities, but I don't think that is what this thread is about! |
Yes, it’s different. They go to summer camp for at least four weeks and usually start young and return every year. Then they work at these camps when they’re in college. For the “Deep South”, Camp Greystone is one. |
We understand just fine. You don't get it. Sickening. |
BS BS BS |
Not sure about "The South" but in Texas they go to camp until they are about 15/16. (Longhorn (both), Mystic & Waldemar for girls, Stewart (boys).) Sure, not all go that long but definitely normal and not uncommon. These camps stress athleticism and leadership. |
I wrote that. What is BS? |
I know a couple Asian-American kids who were in sororities/fraternities at ACC schools and I’m sure they’re participating in Greek life at SEC schools as well. To each his own- it’s a social choice. Not everyone is interested in Greek life and there are plenty of kids/social groups at all southern universities who don’t fit the stereotypical Greek life profile. And there are plenty of kids who are in a sorority/fraternity but have friends who aren’t involved in Greek life. |
Do you mean “make it public”? Or keep it locked down private before/during/after rush? |
Yeah I was wondering too. I think they make it public for a short period of time. Wouldn’t make sense the other way around. |
