You can't freeze onions. |
Sure. But not 50 lbs worth. Maybe that’s why everyone now needs ozpemoic |
Yes you can. Just dice them first and vacuum seal out the air. Green onions can be diced then frozen in a zip lock baggie with the air squeezed out. |
DP but Safeway electronic coupons don't need to be stored anywhere and they track your spending and give you discounts on what you actually buy, like produce and milk or half and half. Sure there are always coupons for Doritos but I don't tap on those - I save ~30% per trip on the things I was going to buy anyway (more when there's a holiday deal like a free turkey or rib roast for $5.99/lb). |
So your money saving tip is for OP to buy a vacuum sealer? |
Or squeeze the air out of a ziplock baggie. Either one works. The key is to get the air out of the bag. |

The farmers are losing their farms right now thanks to Trump. #FAFO I am tickled Blue!!! |

I shop in bulk and I shop from Costco and from ethnic markets.
The fact that I can cook from scratch, I can cook many different cuisines, and I am familiar with many different kinds of ingredients allows me a lot of flexibility. My friends comment on the veggies I buy from ethnic stores because they have never seen or tasted it, let alone cook it. |
| I've dropped some of my usual stores because of price hikes. I never go to Giant or Safeway anymore. They started charging convenience store prices. But overall my weekly grocery spend has remained stable as I switched around what I buy from where, without changing what's on the list. |

Can we talk about the Costco in Arlington/Pentagon City?
First, I think they rearranged it so it has fewer shelves. Second, their coffee prices seem to have doubled. Anybody else notice this? |
Nah! TACO is a greedy bully. Hates the poors. |
Not PP, but if that is the money saving tip, it's not a bad one. |
You sure you weren't there when they were rearranging? |
