If you are a US born citizen and a working member of the upper middle class

1) Voter turnout was not a problem for Biden and Harris. In 2020, the number of votes cast exceeded 95% of the number of registered voters. Crazy but true. Turnout is not a problem. (Although voter registration might be.)
2) Almost every Demographic shifted away from Democrats and toward Republicans in 2024.
3) The recent protests were, on average, older and whiter than most protests
4) Most Americans oppose illegal immigration, support deportations, and prefer Republican policies on immigration.
5) Most Americans support bans on biological males in girls’ locker rooms, and prefer Republican policies on this issue
6) According to Democratic pollster David Shor, in 2024, most voters trusted Republicans more than Democrats on most of the issues voters considered important. Notably, the extended Covid response under Biden completely erased Democrats’ previous trust advantage on education and health care.

None of these points are wrong or debatable. These are the givens. The question is, what should we do given the situation we’re in? Do we want to keep standing on certain unpopular principles even if it hurts us in elections? Do we want to adopt new policies more popular with voters? Should we focus on short term anti-Trumpism or long term election planning? Do we have any good candidates for 2028? Etc

become the party of labor again

mandate e-verify
secure the southern border
eliminate sanctuary cities
repeal h1b
repeal OPT

very simple actually.

This isn’t France. So in other words you are waiting and will protest when everyone else does it? If everyone thought that way, nobody would be protesting.

This is PP. That is very fair criticism. I guess I’m just angry that my fellow citizens voted for this (with eyes wide open - despite knowing a lot of this pre-election). If this is what our country wants, then it makes me feel very demoralized. If enough Trump voters started regretting their vote, it might make me feel like we have a critical mass to save our democracy. If not, it’s just a minority of voters arm waving. Can we make a difference? I don’t know what to do…

No one regrets their vote. People are very proud of what Trump is doing. I know it is very hard to comprehend for you.

You are a liar just like your Dear Leader.

I personally know three people who regret their vote. They are very right-wing Fox News devotees, but even they are starting to see the cracks in the maga facade. Their 401(k)s have tanked. Some of their relatives have lost their jobs, and no, prices have not gone down. They are now realizing they have been duped, even if they still believe in some of the maga goals (get rid of DEI, lgbtq rights, too much regulation, global warming is just a natural phenomenon, not human caused, etc etc.). But they want their cheap eggs and their jobs, and in those two areas, Dear Leader has disappointed them.

^^^ and they loathe Elon Musk. They did NOT vote for him.

How has anyone’s 401k “tanked?” The Dow has is still up almost 2000 points for the past year.

Stop the overwhelming immigration and win elections

Why is that so hard for democrats

Why do they hate US workers ?

He's talking about deporting US citizens ("homegrowns") to foreign prisons where they can't be retrieved. They are doing deportations without due process. There is a ton of political retribution (eg law firms that employed Mueller afterward etc).

I'm not saying people shouldn't protest but saying "I'm a UMC US citizen" doesn't seem like much protection. And not all UMC are white.

Yes born here citizen, parents immigrants but citizens for decades now, they came with nothing and worked hard and pulled themselves up by their bootstraps, UMC or maybe even UC but I’m minority female and highly educated. Trump hates my demographic and breaks the law. He has already targeted my Alma mater. I’ve never missed an election, I also vote with how I buy goods.

In fact Trump hates all demographics that’s not himself. He even hates white men. He hates animals and he hates Earth.
His goal is to destroy…and then die.
He’s the ultimate mass murderer who will then die and not have to deal with the aftermath.

Why do Trump and Musk hate US workers? Trump is destroying many, many small businesses with his tariff idiocy. Musk is destroying agencies designed to help protect US workers, not to mention getting rid of government funding that funnels out to help many US workers across all states and many industries.

Why does the Trump Administration hate US citizens and US workers?

In case you missed it, Biden is basically dead to the Dem Party and no longer an influence on the party. There is no "overwhelming" immigration supported by the Dem Party. Thanks to Trump now being in office, Dems are guaranteed successes in 2026 and 2028 just like they were in 2018 and 2020. Thanks Trump and MAGA idiots for setting Dems up to WIN upcoming elections.

Weren’t cell phones used to track down J6 people? Every time one side does something the other side ups the ante when they’re in office. People upset about using the tech now to trace people will be singing its praises again when the Dems are in office. I really hate how this happens. If you don’t want the other side using policies or tools against you, maybe don’t use it against them. I guarantee that the tracking will be worse once the Dems get back in the WH. Then it will get worse again when the GOP returns. It is a never ending cycle. Awful.
