GA Director told my kid at practice that McLean and Loudoun (not NVA) were joining GA, not sure why they would be spreading misinformation to teenagers at practice?

So certainly not a NVA troll, could care less if NVA nor McLean does much of anything. Does make me curious why those two are the two moving? And to be clear talking about Loudoun and McLean not NVA nor Union. Honestly, what are the other big clubs in NoVa? Don't say Arlington, they are just a big (population) county that could have a donkey and elephant running things and they would still generate profit running a soccer club. Will win nothing but will always be in business. McLean and Loudoun were the standard bearers for 30years. ECNL hats have to worried.

Yup. Now imagine the girls side getting automatic invite to Generation Adidas Cup.. playing against academies around the world.

GA clubs also see bigger picture like bringing the best girls together for regional ID's and then playing together internationally. A league for girls to develop and grow into professionals not just being physically worn down for 4 years of eligibility in a sub-par league called the NCAA. If professional route doesnt work, colleges will still be willing to take your tuition dollars to wear their P4 color brands since college sports will be club by 2026.

So lets assume the rumor of McLean and Loudoun going to GA is true.

1) is this national shift towards GA or is it just a localized DMV shift as a result of those two legacy clubs being crapped on by ECNL and forced into "alliances"?

2) Is GA then all ready oversaturated in the DMV market going from one badge to five in two years?

1) could be. I bet some of the stronger ECNL clubs in the Southwest and even in the Northeast would like a chance at MLSN.
