| Expect lots of parity this Spring with the top 5 teams. |
| Is this the new spring thread or should we go back to the private one. I’m confused. |
The private one was locked bc of the amount of trolling. A new private could be started but this covers the dmv. There's a public one under vhsl. |
| when will the preseason All DMV team be announced? |
|
Landon ranked #11 by Inside Lacrosse. Let's call that, very optimistic. No other DC area teams in top 25...
|
Agree. Very optimistic. Also Considered: Bullis (Md.), Valor Christian (Colo.), Gonzaga (D.C.), Holderness (N.H.), Georgetown Prep (Md.), St. John’s (D.C.), Episcopal Academy (Pa.), Delbarton (N.J.), Springfield Delco (Pa.), Summit (N.J.), Darien (Conn.), Seton Hall Prep (N.J), Taft (Conn.), Rye (N.Y.), St. Sebastian (Mass.) |
Landon's gonna have a tough year. Johns Hopkins lsm out for 6 weeks, Delaware dm out for 6 weeks, best pole out for at least 2 weeks. |
I am a bit surprised the DC teams are not ranked higher - haven't St. Johns, Prep, and Bullis all been in the discussion for top 5 in the nation relatively recently? |
These rankings are based too much on the results of 2024. Landon will be good this year but won’t be close to the same caliber as last spring. DC area as a whole is going to be down this year. Prep and Gonzaga are way down. |
| Prep and Gonzaga overhyped. Neither make to championship. Once season starts they will fall off the list. |
Landon is too high in my eyes... But they are better on paper than SJC and Bullis didn't even make it to the IAC ship last spring. Pre-season rankings are meaningless... in a month from now, we will begin to have a sense of team strengths and weaknesses. In two months when teams are in the thick of league play, we will know who the contenders are vs the pretenders. Rankings like they always do will make sense as the season carries on... The season starts in a week! |
| Have Landon and SJC published their schedules anywhere? |
| Rankings have been garbage since Ty Xanders left IL. He knew the DMV. |
Landon is a little thin and banged up but still have d1 players and 2 d1 fogos. They also had good showings at nhsls. GP skipped and Bullis didn’t play tough teams. WCAC might have to wait for next year as 26’s at sjc and pvi get to be seniors. Bullis ends up 1 with the weakest schedule. Most interesting games are GP v gc and Landon v publics. |

WCAC and IAC schools can officially begin practicing today
Let the season begin! Good luck seniors! |
