The DCUM Book Club
| I read The Rachel Incident after. Little post-election period of not having the focus to read anything long form. It was a good readable but not stupid way back into novel reading. Now am reading Martyr!, which was a Christmas gift and more challenging for sure, but I am enjoying it so far. |
| The Bible. All the way through. For the first time. |
| I just finished Ina Garten’s memoir, Be Ready When the Luck Happens. It was a fun, fast read. Going to start So Long, See You Tomorrow by William Maxwell today. |
I like the title of Garten's book. Is that a theme for the book or a minor mention? |
I've been listening to the audiobook version of Ina Garten's memoir - really really enjoying it. I just finished the cozy mystery where a retired Angela Merkel solves a murder in the small town she and her husband have moved to. Loved it. Now I'm reading Good Material by Dolly Alderton and oh man it is just what the doctor ordered. It's so fast and fun. Really reminds me of Nick Hornby from way back when. |
