It aired on NBC this afternoon.

Poor Marie Antoinette. That was disrespectful. Also had to inject drag/“pride” into everything, why the Last Supper? Try that with other religions and good luck.

Wth in the library?? Stick to the topic. London honored it’s culture and history 1,000x better.

Exactly. What was all that? Too much injected. Fashion show could have been incorporated instead of its own show. Lots going on. Never seen the torch running as much as in this opening. Is France known for running? Felt there was too much distractions or too much to include. Or maybe it felt that way because it was not just in one venue such as inside a stadium. ?

Did they forget the hot air balloon and go back on the boat to get the torch to the remaining french athletes, paraolympiams? Felt like the balloon should have been lit and arrived near/at the ETower to close out the show. Something felt missing after it was lit and ended there. Anyone else?

Yes it felt very oops we forgot something lets get back in the car and drive back home but nope I think it was all I intentional and just did not flow well

Maybe she is supposed to be relatable, for the many Americans who know nothing about other countries? 🤔

She sure looks thin? Ozempic?

They sent Colin Jost to Tahiti for the surfing competitions…

I honestly feel dumber for having listened to anything Kelly and Peyton said. It was just space filler and so amateurish.

I agree, but would add Snoop to that group. WTH?

It was on regular NBC this afternoon actually, live.

Thanks. I didn’t realize. I set up YouTubeTV to record the OC, but it didn’t start recording until 7:30 tonight. Oh well.

Exactly!! Why him? They could have let the scientists responsible for the COVID vaccine carry the torch!

What generation likes him? Not the very young or old.

Don't get me wrong I enjoyed it all, that lady who with that very stodgy military band was fabulous, the opera singer was someone I want to hear more of and the torch bearer were people I would like to learn more about, but this all had to be intentional. We didn't see much Arab/N. African representation. Why the deliberate black representation?

What?! France is a multicultural society and a former colonizer. There are black people everywhere in France, fool.

The one Beyoncé clone was from Mali, for example. Mali was at one time a French colony. Much of Africa is Francophone.

Are they French? Even if not they still would have been a better choice.

Yeah, since at least an audience could travel to this Olympics, thanks to them.

Snoop is not French!?
