I do think this will be the final straw and Biden is out. At this point I think we all should expect a president Harris (not because I think Biden will succumb - I predict he will be forced to resign).

I think he’ll decide to resign for the good of the country, an idea that has never crossed the mind of any Republican anywhere. Like Ronald Reagan, for example, if the jokers about elder abuse want to make a crack, they should with their own party.

I am as liberal a democrat as they come but come on, this rhetoric does not help. No one wants Covid. It can be very dangerous and scary and it is not good to have. It does kill people. But a laceration to the ear caused by an AR is far more dangerous. No need to spin this this way; it doesn't help the gun violence narrative to dismiss it when it targets someone you hate.

The lower stairs? Those go to the Air Force One cargo area. Trump used those lower stairs all the time because he couldn't carry his bulk up the main stairs. Honestly I was wondering when Trump was going to demand an elevator be installed. Biden would typically try to use the main stairs to the upper entrance even though he slipped on them once or twice.

The fact that he could have been killed if the bullet were a few inches over is certainly more dangerous, I'll grant you that - but the laceration was definitely not more dangerous than COVID. Incidentally, years ago I was grazed by a bullet ricochet while out in a hunting party, it was easily as bad as Trump's and required stitches. It stung, but like Trump I was fine the next day apart from a bandage. But it certainly didn't make me some kind of "hero" or "tough guy" or qualify me in any way to be President. I don't think it in any way changes my opinion of Trump, as I still don't think he is fit to be President.

He has COVID, not a permanent medical condition. You might have a point if it either kills him or leaves him with serious and lasting long covid health issues.
