I am as liberal a democrat as they come but come on, this rhetoric does not help. No one wants Covid. It can be very dangerous and scary and it is not good to have. It does kill people. But a laceration to the ear caused by an AR is far more dangerous. No need to spin this this way; it doesn't help the gun violence narrative to dismiss it when it targets someone you hate. [/quote]

The fact that he could have been killed if the bullet were a few inches over is certainly more dangerous, I'll grant you that - but the laceration was definitely not more dangerous than COVID.  Incidentally, years ago I was grazed by a bullet ricochet while out in a hunting party, it was easily as bad as Trump's and required stitches.  It stung, but like Trump I was fine the next day apart from a bandage.  But it certainly didn't make me some kind of "hero" or "tough guy" or qualify me in any way to be President.  I don't think it in any way changes my opinion of Trump, as I still don't think he is fit to be President.[/quote]
