Hysterical. Trump and several MAGA congress folk are on record SAYING that they want to tank border legislation for the sole purpose of preserving border chaos as an election issue, and the MAGAs here still want to pretend it's all Biden's fault.

Many undocumented immigrants crossed the border legally then simply overstayed their visa. Trump did nothing about that. But hey, he did build that wall that Mexico paid for! I mean that Congress funded! It was “secure”? Really? The billion dollar fences that were dug under and climbed over and cut open almost instantly? They were secure? Check your facts, buddy. Yes, Trump’s torture of immigrants in contravention of international laws kept them away to some extent, but facts don’t lie. Some people risked even torture and having their children stolen from them to escape whatever they were leaving, and they got through. The only thing that was secure is the GOP’s delusion that the Orange Man had it all in hand by his force of will. |

Fact: the number of illegal immigrants coming into the US increased every year that Trump was President, until 2020 when his incompetent COVID response destroyed our economy. Fact: 2019, after 2 years of Trump's "tough" policies, saw a gigantic spike in illegal immigrants coming into the US. |
