Look at the total votes for Biden vs Trump

Biden wasn’t even on the ballot, genius.

So what are you saying? Dems can’t write?

The primary was not sanctioned by the DNC so it did not elect pledged delegates to the national convention. Democrats did not want NH to go first. That’s why Biden wasn’t on the ballot and did not campaign in NH and why Democratic turnout was light.

He squeaked over 50%. I guess that technically counts as a win. Another anemic one for an effective incumbent, though.

You can’t expect the conservative corporate media to just let go of their horse race. And you certainly shouldn’t expect them to stop boosting the Republican; what else would they do?! Write, truthfully and without varnish, some thinkpieces about how Trump is unfit for office and should be in prison? No no no no, my friend! Philip Bump in the Wapo today has an opinion piece about how he thinks youngsters are becoming right wingers.

They are a group trying to get fascism into office. They’re certainly not going to “give Biden his flowers.”

Should Haley run as an independent? I'm a Republican and can't stand extremism on either side, so I can't vote for Trump. I really disagree with immigration under Biden--don't know that 4 more years is sustainable.

NH primary is proportional for 22 delegates to the national convention. Trump won 12 delegates, Haley won 9, and the last one is too close to call but right now would round to Haley. A 12-10 split is prettty weak for a former President and two-time nominee.

Many moderate dems are also concerned about immigration. If you want something done, you need to support moderate dems in down ticket races across the country. They need strength to push back against the far left. That strength come from numbers.

Yep. Trump has lost his mojo.

They would have to switch their registration to Republican or Independent to vote in the Republican Primary. Where is any evidence that Democrats did so?

Exit interviews.

What's become clear is that his campaign speeches aren't inspiring the voters. The speeches are now quiet (in comparison), meandering, mostly about his trials, backwards-looking, etc. He's run out of material, he's no longer fresh, and he no longer has the energy to effectively deliver. Summer/fall is trending ugly for him in that capacity.

hysterical of Trump to say this: "Trump began by labeling Haley an imposter who had claimed a victory earlier in the evening."

Pot, meet kettle. LOL

Trump is an imposter who had claimed he won the 2020 election when, in fact, he lost, bigly.

This is going to be hard on Trump. Not only did he barely win New Hampshire, the next major primary isn't until February 24th in South Carolina. That's another month of attacks he's going to be forced to endure (and obviously make), which is going to require increasing amounts of energy. That's a big time gap so there will be increasing conversation to fill the space discussing his electability. We've already seen him truly melting down over the past week given his age, likely dementia, and stress of balancing a presidential election with all the criminal trials.

"Donald Trump may have won decisively in New Hampshire Tuesday night, but instead of spending his evening celebrating like he did after the Iowa caucuses, the former president spent his night seething, sources said.

Hours after the polls closed, Trump continued to rail against Nikki Haley privately and publicly after she declined to drop out of the race.

Publicly, he criticized her speech and her outfit in a post online. Privately, Trump told his aides he was baffled that she was refusing to drop out and grant him the GOP nomination, urging his political aides to up their attacks on her."

Haley should stop trying to thread the needle and just go after Trump directly. There is clearly a significant portion of the Republican Party that, for whatever reason, is tired of Trump and wants to move on. They are probably desperate for a real choice.

Of course, the idea is to derail Trump. But NH has too many angry white guys

DW and I almost always vote Dem. Looking at the VA primary we are considering voting for Haley as a vote against Trump.

In a Presidential contest of Biden v Trump, our votes go to Biden without question. If it’s Biden v Haley I think DW’s vote might go to Haley.
