I mean, it is. It is a top ranked public. THe kids I know going there from here didn't get in to UVA. So....UVA is the better academic school. However, you can get a terrific education at both. Also, Georgia is heavily heavily in state...so touch more regional, if you ask me. But, a great place. Let's just not let facts get in the way of a good story.

Are you daft? Look at the stats. Just look at them. And if you want to compare out of state to out of state, compare the kids getting in to GA out of state to UVA out of state.

NP. You are insufferable. Every college ranking system puts UVA way above Georgia. Forbes just put out a list of new public ivies. UVA is on it. Georgia…Institute of Technology is on it. Guess who isn’t? UVA is a better school all day, every day.

They are different schools. UGA is a state flagship with a mission of educating a massive amount of Georgians and some out of state kids. UVA is a relatively small school cosplaying at being an ivy. I wish we had a school like UGA here. High school would be much less stressful if a kid who did well in high school knew they could get into the flagship and didn't have to stress about how many kids UVA will take from their school

We don't have any schools like UGA. We have two ACC schools who aren't worth rooting for on Saturday and a Sun Belt school bleeding students with athletic fees because it's income can't support it's ambition
