What about STA, NCS, Jackson Reed, and TJ?

Bullis early admit round looks good.

It looks…ok. So far, Bullis isn’t having the results GDS has right now.

Well, Bullis isn’t GDS, so there’s that. As a Bullis family, we are incredibly happy that there is a large range of colleges and universities they are accepted to and it says that they are willing to challenge those who need the challenge and support those who need the support.

I don’t know about a large range. These are all top schools.

Bucknell University - 4 admits (includes 3 Division I athletes)
Boston College - 2 admits
Johns Hopkins University - 2 admits (includes 1 Division I athlete)
University of Pennsylvania - 2 admits
Boston University - 1 admit
Colgate University - 1 admit

Duke University - 1 admit

New York University - 1 admit

Skidmore College - 1 admit
Tufts University - 1 admit
University of Richmond - 1 admit
Washington University in St. Louis - 1 admit

I wouldn’t refer to this as a list of top schools. I would call this a tiny number of top schools, but mostly a list of safeties.

Which schools are the safeties?

I consider the following schools to be safeties:

Bucknell University
Boston College
Boston University
Colgate University
College of Charleston
Davidson College
Dickinson College
New York University (no campus, so it’s a nonstarter)
Pitzer College
Skidmore College
Tufts University
University of Richmond
Washington University in St. Louis

STA never releases one (the school wouldn't care but the boys have just never done one.) The school puts the final results in the summer issue of their magazine.

Boys in the top 5 kids in the class (as estimated by my son and friends) are in to Harvard, Dartmouth, Duke--all unhooked.

NCS students traditionally create one but not until later on in the process.

This is the private school forum. They should not be mixed in. Jackson read is 7 times larger than STA and 4 times larger than Prep.

Safeties for who? Did you have a kid go through college applications recently?
