Why are they going to Baltimore? And how much of the school's funds were spent over the years for the leadership team to go to Baltimore for "development"? Development is really a vague term when he was actually holding his summer ILT meetings in a hotel in Baltimore. He would get a conference room, have the majority of the ILT book a hotel room and after their meetings, the partying would start. Meanwhile, summer ILT meetings at most schools are conducted in school buildings. What else was paid for by MCPS?

Are a school's funds public information? And did any of the staff members care about these events while they were on ILT? Are any of those staff members now saying he mistreated them?

I’ve always wondered why we can’t see every penny a school spends. They are public so it should be readily available

And yes, how is it that he didn’t have to payback that money. Just another example of how he was protected. The next IG report is going to be fire

I always wondered that as well as PTA's, Booster Clubs and other associated groups.

I can tell there are ex PTA presidents on here and those who couldn’t get away with being subpar teachers that tried to fail all the black kids in their classes and Mr. B wouldn’t stand for. Because it's none of your business that a principle used their discretionary funds to help the xx number of students whose families couldn't afford school field trips, or other items

Exactly: it’s why the Washington city paper used to publish each MCPS employee’s salary. As tax payers we have the right to know how each of our dollars is spent. It’s not salacious to ask this question, it’s democratic

So troll poster/Joel. Let’s say that the folks upset about this are just looking for an excuse to get rid of Dr. McKnight. Let’s say they are racist. Let’s say that the relationship with the one teacher was consensual and she is retaliating.

DP but by harassing teachers and creating a hostile work environment, he didn't just harm the teachers (as if that's not bad enough). A bad environment for teachers means kids aren't being served well either.

So mcps teachers take note… If you feel that uncomfortable please remove yourself from the situation and report it formally. I would say don’t continue to go to after school events and enjoy drinks with the person harassing you. Don’t laugh at the jokes and in turn have ones of your own. Do not send your harasser pics of yourself in a bathtub.Sounds quite simple to go to work and do your job? GUESS WHAT MCPS TEACHERS… In the real workforce people aren’t getting wasted and going to bars after work and inviting co workers to their homes to get drunk. Separate your personal and professional lives it’s just that simple. It’s like a bunch of teenagers worked at Farquhar.

If only there was someone who was in like a leadership position that is supposed to set a professional tone for the staff, and if they weren't doing that they'd get fired or at least not promoted....

Agree their focus on McKnight instead of the person who is possibly guilty of sexually harassing subordinates seems misguided.
