Looks like a new Gaza war has started

Hamas attacked because Israel is internally divided right now. Bibi is distracted by his stupid domestic push to control society. Israel is weak and divided. Hamas took the opportunity to strike while Bibi is distracted.

Another big question is Egypt’s role in all of this. Al-Sisi was seen as a reliable partner with Israel. No way in hell an attack of this magnitude happened without Egypt’s help or at least turning a blind to heavy weaponry being smuggled into Gaza.

Foolish statement. Biden’s policies contributed to the attack. The fiasco withdrawal from Afghanistan and the unconditioned release of $6 billion in frozen assets to Iran, the leading state sponsor of terrorism, has emboldened the enemies of democracy.

You’re parroting this statement a 100 times won’t make it true. You’re a liar and you know it.

I bet the Russian helped Hamas as part of the deal with Iran for weapons. Would have been easy for Russia to arm and ship is weapon for Hamas. No one is inspecting what Russia ships in to Syria. It also gives a black eye to the US.

Yes, of course Russia's dirty little fingers are all over this. Hamas leaders have been Moscow this year, and there's some evidence that Hamas fighters have received Russian training. This is to blow up the pending deal between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately Gaza is now going to be leveled. This is going to get even more awful.

Maybe both should just move somewhere else and the region should be under different rule like it was 850 years ago.

I'm sick of it. I lived in the Middle East as a child and was evacuated right before the 1967 war. I can't believe this s**t is still going on 50+ years later! These two will still be standing and fighting each other when the earth ends.

Agree. I'm tired of it and tired of hearing about it. They've both done things to wrong the other. They both hate each other. I don't care who first had the land, who has the right to the land, blah, blah, blah. I just don't care.

Maybe we should deploy troops to Israel and remove Netanyahu? He seems incapable of keeping Israel safe. Typical of a conservative.

This must be the first priority of the US! Though I am confused about what weapon systems Israel would need. It’s not like Israel lacks any weapons system or money. There is also no army attacking Israel. But send our troop we must!

Arabs attacking first killed innocent Arabs.

But if they receive Russian training they most likely would have failed?

How much did Iran do to support this? We need to know where this could go asap.

The average person doesn’t care. True.

But certain governments care. It’s a geopolitical chess game with Israel and Hamas playing the role of an eternal powder keg of nothing but trouble…impacting countries not only in the region but also allies or instigators elsewhere.

Israel/Palestine
Ukraine/Russia
Saudis Arabia
US
North Korea
China
Lebanon
Iran
Etc.

While everyone is sick of the nonsense, we don’t have the luxury of washing our hands of the situation…because everything has a consequence.

The never ending conflict is essentially managed by periodic escalation and deescalation. But nothing is ever really resolved.

They have dragged innocent civilian hostages and soldiers into the tunnels and into Gaza to use as shield, no doubt.
Tell me these people are not barbarians.

The worst part is that Bibi has been pussyfooting around with Putin.

So incredibly weak on national security. Got played like a fiddle.

Drones are really not that hard to use. The training is similar to playing a video game - specially with low tech ones. The drone wars has been coming for years. Look at the Russian Black Sea fleet and think about the vulnerabilities of an aircraft carrier group.
