I live right by Kingman Island and walk through when I need a moment for peace, or sometimes my kids like to head there with me to check out the birds and turtles. I have lived nearby for over a decade, visiting the island.

Freaking awful. By 'field' I'm guessing it was the clearing right after the 2nd bridge. There isn't really any other 'field' area unless it was one of the small spaces for "classroom" rock seating.

There comes a point where you have just ignore the perpetually aggrieved, social justice warriors who bleat breathlessly about how they hate police and arresting people. This crime control board idea sounds good.

Everyone knows the only way to really control crime is to crack down. This whole liberal shielding and no prosecution stuff doesn’t work. Look to El Salvador and Bukele.

DC doesn’t even get to prosecute it’s own crimes, aside from minors.

Restorative justice works, it just takes time. Instead of locking up black and brown kids because we all know you hate them and are scared of them just...existing, why not give them tools to succeed and not be painted as criminals because of their skin color.

Everyone makes mistakes, but you aren't looking to lock up the white and asian kids who do bad stuff are you, you're not painting an entire race as thugs are you because one white kid decides to shoot a school up. Black and brown people need our help, they're oppressed and all you want to do is make it worse for them.
