Yeah. As a federal employee, I could completely bring home hundreds of classified documents, and then refuse to give them back. /s

I’m bringing to think Elon’s “genius” was overrated.

Good point. The President is just like a rank and file federal employee...

He is when it comes to government documents. Trump is no longer President.

Wow! I didn’t think my opinion of Trump could be any lower. He is absolute garbage.

7 charges, 38 counts

Given that some of these crimes happened in NJ, why can't they charge him there?

1. That is the best, pettiest burn book ever.
2. When you read through the list of the documents he kept, the theme becomes obvious. Lots and lots of capabilities of foreign countries. Almost like stuff other countries would be interested in.

SC court will overturn for sure - similar case against former Gov of VA They will continue to indict him in GA, in DC, anywhere they can. As Maddow said, if Trump would just step down from running, all this could go away.

Give it a few years. Maybe we can find out with assurance to whom he sold the missing documents and what happened as a result. Then your opinion of him and the people who have enabled him (cough, cough THE WHOLE GOP cough, cough) can get even lower as you mourn what was done to someone because of Donald’s greed.

Oh, we’re way beyond “just going away.”

House Oversight releases information pertaining to shady practices in the Mar-A-Lago search... interesting.

This is nothing like the former Governor of Virginia.

No, the Governor of Virginia didn't hide classified documents in his shower and tell his lawyer to lie about it to law enforcement.

My take away is they are accepting that Trump had all the documents that he knew he shouldn’t have and had said he didn’t have.

Nope. He allegedly broke laws. Like any other American, he needs to be held to account for it.

If Rep. Jordan has issues with the FBI, then he needs to hold GOP party member Christopher Wray accountable for it.

Take a look at 793(e) counts starting on page 28. They have a long list of docs. Many of them concerned nuclear info, which is significant because there are special declassification procedures for those and they are the single category that the president cannot unilaterally declassify. Pretty clearly put those in there to head off the "I declassified them with my mind" defense.
