Satanists have the right to exist, too. You seem oddly obsessed with this person. Seems you don't believe in freedom of worship.

They have a right to exist. I have a right to stop shopping at a store that pushes their merchandise.

I have no problem with that. That's freedom. You do you.

It doesn’t seem strange to you at all that Target partnered with someone who openly creates Satan-themed merchandise? Do you think Target thought that would be appealing to parents?

Yes, it’s strange. All of their pride clothing is always super cringey. But why does it really matter? They will figure out out when it doesn’t sell.

It matters because Target should have never hired someone who creates merchandise that promotes violence against people. I can see how someone who worships Satan may think this is ok.

-“We Bash Back” with a heart-shaped mace in the trans-flag colors
-“Transphobe Collector” with a skull
-“Homophobe Headrest” with skulls beside a pastel guillotine

Just as a business decision.... who is the target market for satanic, pro-LGBTQ clothes? A parent would have to be both into Satanism, AND into LGBTQ advocacy.

I can see this being a popup boutique at a The Satantic Temple conference. But whoever looked these clothes and thought that there are enough queer satanic parents who are "out" enough with their Satanism to dress their kids in these clothes-- they are out of touch.

The Satanist is not a distributor. The Satanist is a designer that Target partnered with. The Satanist who designed the “Satan respects pronouns” shirt is the same designer Target selected to create merchandise for this year’s pride campaign. Your friend in that video is misrepresenting the relationship that Target has with the Satanist.

Honestly, satanism seems like a troll attempt masquerading as a religion, just as the PP described. As a agnostic, I’m more offended by pandering to stupidity than a choice to promote any particular religion over another.

How do you think your average person is going to react to tuck friendly swimsuits, Pride onesies for babies, "gender fluid" mugs, and clothing designed by a Satanist. Adidas recently used a male to model a woman's swimsuit and we all know what happened to Budlight after the Dylan Mulvaney debacle. Your normal, average person is turned off by all of this being shoved in our faces especially when kids are being targeted. If you think it is just Republicans think again.

Do you not believe in capitalism? Corporations are based on one thing and one thing alone - making money. Usually by selling something. If it doesn't sell they'll stop production.

Are you a commie who wants to regulate businesses?

No it actually has to do with the following below. Companies are rewarded for pushing this stuff because it improves their scores. Nothing to do with sales although Bud light is definitely feeling the almost 30% drop in sales.

This is a great point. When people argue that a cashless society is VERY bad news, this is why. Banks, in order to get their equity ratings, etc, up, could refuse you access to your own money if you plan to spend it on something they don’t approve of. Imagine wanting to buy a single family home and a bank now allowing you to get a mortgage for it because it’s not in an approved neighborhood, or they don’t approve of single family dwellings. Or if you have cash to purchase the home, not allowing you to withdraw the cash to do so. Don’t believe me? There are banks in the UK posting signs now stating that they have the right to refuse you access to a withdrawal from your own account until it is approved by the bank.

Way to prove the point of the thread. Normal people do not give a sh|t about this.

You will be forced to give a sh*t - that’s PP’s point.

[insert Roy Kent gif with a forbidden word]

I have to say, there's a lot I hate about Republicans - and their scary, apocalyptic "promises" about what's coming is up there at the top of what I hate most. But it's a big top. Very top-heavy.

Isn't it the Democrats who have been talking about their apocalyptic "promises" concerning climate change? Al Gore said many of the world's coastal cities would be inundated by sea level rise by 2023. Of course, he said that while owing a Tennessee mansion with three people living in it that consumed more power than a small town. Liberal hypocrite.

yes and humans did a lot in the intervening 30 years to help mitigate so instead of 2023 it is now more like 2050, but there is still more to do to try to prepare while also mitigating. Thanks for making the point that we CAN do something about it.

Also in one case we're trying to avoid the catastrophic existential threat - climate change

While in the other, the Rs are positively giddy about a dictator. They know that saying this stuff is creepy, weird, and sort of scary to normies - but those R weirdos love it, themselves.

I guess they love the threat of climate change, too. They're lusting for it. They are such strange and off-putting people.

LOL! Dictator? Forcing people to get vaccinated or lose their jobs? Even when the vaccination is not proven to work?
Forcing schools to close by local Dem School Boards. And, the President supporting those SB and attacking those who criticize. Mandating that Trans women and girls be allowed in women sports? Contrary to public wishes.

The only people forced to get vaccinated were federal employees. No one else was, at least not by the government.

It was the teachers, who were in a vulnerable position who chose not to teach in person. Who was going to teach if the teachers weren't?

Complete misinformation. The vaccine mandate was for any business who did any kind of work with the federal government. That included linemen working outside with utility companies to merchandise stockers at Walmart.
Over 80 million people were affected by that ruling.
For a vaccine that neither stopped transmission or contracting Covid. It only helped the person getting it, not society as a whole.
You and your bodily autonomy can go pound sand.

Never mind that there are still people who are virtue signaling about the vaccine. I have (had) a friend who insists that she is ‘protecting her father’ by no longer letting me in her home, making me mask outside, sit over 10 feet away, etc. It’s virtue signaling and I told her this year I will not play Covid gymnastics anymore and ended the friendship.

I wonder if her father died, and she isn't letting anyone in so she can keep it a secret and keep collecting Social Security checks.

Nope. Her father lives on his own. It’s all one huge virtue signal. Her own kids travel extensively and there’s no problem with the interactions. It’s punishment because I vote R. So bye bye ‘friend’

If you haven’t been vaccinated then of course she is keeping you away from her elderly father. Good for her for protecting him.

Typical republican unable to think of other people. You did her a favor by stepping out of her life.

1) Vaccines work. This is indisputable.
2) No president attacked those who criticized schools for closing. When did Trump do this? Because the pandemic happened on Trump’s watch, you know.
3) Spare us your concern about women’s sports. Y’all cried rivers about Title IX, mocked the women’s national team in soccer for seeking equal pay, and demonized Brittany Greiner. You don’t care about women’s sports.
