| I wonder if any of this woman’s friends will speak out or if victims will come forward |

This does remind me of the V.C. Andrews series of books, like Flowers in the Attic, set in Virginia. I was just watching the series and wondering how the subject of child abuse and incest was being portrayed. I watched the origin story, which was slightly political in it's portrayal of how the grandmother and the mother became abusers, having been abused themselves and having been the product of violence, rape, and incest.
I guess the point is that rich and powerful families have dark secrets and mental illness, too. They just have had the ability to cover those secrets up. This also reminds me of the Laura Dern movie, "The Tale," which was set in horse country somewhere. The 13-year-old girl was groomed for sexual abuse by both a man and a woman, both trusted by her parents. As a white, petite woman, I always tell children who approach me to pet my toy breed Havanese dog, that they must ask their parents first. Children will approach me and my dog, not the other way around. He's small and white. Once, a 3rd grade boy with autism, a neighbor's grandson, reached out and grabbed my dog's head. I wanted my dog to be trained as a therapy dog, but really, he's not sturdy enough to be around kids. I learned to protect my dog from children at times, but also, that parents need to watch their children around any stranger. |
| I don't care if she has a brain tumor or was assaulted in her youth. She is now harming children. We don't make excuses for other people, so why her. |

I read the complaint. There is something VERY wrong with this woman. I hope they throw the book at her. Wow.
Grateful to the task force who had to correspond with this monster. My sense is that she’s done this before, given how comfortable she was with the “plan”. |
| I hope they're able to find the men who were perpetuating these crimes in the videos she had. |
She engaged with UC, so, she did. |
UC? |
Under cover agent |
| And this is why I support the death penalty. |
this is missing a lot of important details. |
| Bet her family is squirming knowing that she is about to tell all the family dark secrets. Maybe a few monsters will be locked up. |
| Read the complaint and want to vomit. This woman is beyond sick. I wonder if her friends aren't saying anything because there may be footage of her abusing their children or something like that. I feel so bad for her children, God knows what she has done to them and how do you come back from this? |
Which UVA sorority gets to claim this one? |

WTH.
“My gosh. I had no idea,” said Athena Gould, the executive director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Blue Ridge, when informed of Hoppe’s arrest. Gould said that Eleanor Hoppe passed a thorough background check and left the employ of the organization about three years ago. Gould said that she worked only in special events, not with children. |
Could the fact that her ex is a judge have something to do with it? |
