Things are equal but fall on gender norm lines.

haha .. my liberal DH does all of it, and cooks, not just grill, bakes, fixes all kinds of things (neighbors all come to him for help fixing stuff), and he's an engineer. But, I do the taxes.

The GOP is a lost cause. Conservatives support politicians who want to force your DD to have her rapist's babies. Even if your DH personally doesn't support that, he clearly doesn't think it's enough of an issue to leave the party. And if god forbid, should your DD ever get pregnant by a rapist, I bet you and your DH will be glad for Dems and the blue states that allow for abortion. He certainly won't be turning to his conservative party for help.

Also, your DH organizes tailgate parties, but does he organize PTA staff appreciation, birthday parties? I bet not because it doesn't involve alcohol.

I'm pretty conservative and I've found Muslim Indian, Pakistani, and Bangladeshi women to be good matches for me. I'm more progressive than the men from their cultures, and they are more traditional, feminine, hard-working and sensible than white, east coast liberal women.

Actually my kids school only has men run the PTA, it’s all boys.., mommies not needed, school parties, etc. yes school parties involve alcohol you should try it you seem like you need it.

It bizarre you think teacher gifts and birthday parties make you a good parent, you really need a higher bar for yourself.

We don’t believe in “birthday parties” invite 5 friends over, pizza and cake, no goodie bags. Neither of us believe in huge consumerism like birthdays, valentines, etc.
