What's going on with MadLax 2026

Are these quitters ungrateful?

To all the people saying to go to another club - My guess is that the kid is average at best. Otherwise, he would have made the combo NL team.

Do what is best for you and your family, BUT if kid wants to play D1 - stay with NL.

You’re assuming the player won’t get cut in August anyway.

Reduce playing time equals 0 playing time, unless winning by 10.

True. You can get no PT on Blue, or pay $3K/year to play on Red. Best answer is to leave the club altogether, they don't deserve another dime from these parents.

Stay on Blue. If you're good enough to make the team again next year, stick with NL Blue. Your kid needs to get better on their own, but look at the 24 team. Starters are all committing early and backups are playing most of the fall. NL does a great job of advertising their kids... backups are getting recruited.

Watch the 25 team - same thing will happen next year.

As long as the 26 team is good - tons of college coaches will watch them. BUT the kid will need to "shine" when given playing opportunity.

"Making" the team isn't enough. You got to play. The attack is locked in, I assume, based on who we know orchestrated the whole thing. Blend poles/middies from both clubs. Goalie from Philly an fogo from hilltop. If you aren't in those groups, move on. Go play.

Relax VLC Dad.

Legend has it most were going to stay but he promised to coach the 26 team and take dads out to J Gilberts so they all just left instead.

Honest question: if you are one of the NL kids who just got displaced isn’t this a sign to stop playing travel lacrosse? What is the point of spending at least 10k, interrupting your summer and passing up on a lot of summer experiences if you are not competitive enough to keep your oun spot.

Willing to bet this is true for more than one family on 2026. $3000/yr for each kid in club dues, need to ask yourself what you're getting in return.

Didn't Madlax 2027 fall apart too?

Nope they are still going strong.

I don’t see anything wrong with playing. Just go to a less competitive team.

I wouldn’t say they are going strong. Results on the field are just OK, and off the field is even worse.

The good players will probably look elsewhere for HS just like the 2026 class did. It is hard to get recruited from a team that plays daddy ball.

so what is the official count? how many Mad Lax 2026s did indeed leave ML and join Next Level 2026?

Apparently not enough for them to kick anyone off the team.

That is an understandable viewpoint, but it is unlikely that a family will move a son off a team where he is thriving, likes the coach, has friends, etc. because a sibling was victimized by the MadLax invasion. But if the remaining NL sibling is on the bottom half of the roster and wondering about his place from one season to the next, then this is a good wake up call to look for another program.

2 attack
1 attack “Free Agent”
3 middies
1 lsm

Maybe undecided

2 poles
1 mid

Could be more but lets start there.

I’m sorry your son isn’t as good as you need him to be.
