What does this even mean?! Can you tell a person's STD status by looking at them? How should a man select a sexual partner? By the clothes they wear? Their hairstyle? The church they attend?

At least women can know that a circumcised man is less likely to have an STD (though still not definitive).

This. The "surgeon" doesn't seem to understand that the male equivalent of female mutilation is castration. Circumcision is not castration.

Um no. They are similar. While circumcision doesn’t remove sexual pleasure, by removing the foreskin the glands are now permanently exposed, therefore have a small degree is desensitization. Castration deals with sex hormones. No one is talking about removing a woman’s ovaries, so not sure why you bringing castration up.

You need to toss Canada, Australia, and New Zealand into that category. All have above average non-religious circumcision rates. America isn't so special after all.

We did not circumcise, and so far everything seems fine. Kid is a teen and only asked about it once. We are Jewish, and he asked why we didn't do it, and I told him that after he was born, I just couldn't let anyone cut anything off my baby for any reason. It was true. He never brought it up again.

You all are so dramatic about an extra piece of skin. Spaying/neutering pets is far far worse and that seems ok to people.

I had my boys circ'd for many reasons but I really don't think it compares to sterilizing animals. It's just not the same thing.
