Boy moms, you happy with your choice?

Anonymous
Are you glad that you did/didn't get your son circumcised, or do you wish you could go back and make the opposite choice?

Please be civil! I know this topic can get heated.

If I could go back I would not circumcise. It was 30 years ago and I didn’t know any better.

I didn't and it's fine. I'm sure it would've been fine if I had.

Son is 2.5 years old and we didn't circumcise. I am glad we didn't.

Kids almost 3. We did circumcise. Happy with that choice - honestly I haven’t really thought about it since then.

This literally is far from your mind a week afterwards. Unless there are long term issues, you will only think of it when these threads pop up.

My son has no long term issues so I’m happy with my choice. It’s fine.

I let my husband make the choice since he's more familiar with the equipment. Totally good with the choice.

Circ'd for both my boys. Agree with PP that I haven't really thought about it since. I let my husband decide, and he said he preferred they got circ'd, so they did. I didn't have a strong opinion either way. But appreciated the slightly lower risk of UTIs when they were infants

We didn't circumcise. DS is 7yrs old and all is well. Happy with the decision.

My boys are 25 and 22 and I'm glad we did not circumcise.

Gonna be honest I regret not doing it. He's really self-conscious about it and I need to constantly remind him about the extra cleaning (though that might just be middle school)

We're only 6 years in, so I'm not sure my DS has an opinion yet. But he's not cut and there's been zero issues.

Two boys, one teen another late elem. Both circumcised, happy with the choice but like PPs said, just not something we ever think about!
