They could reasonably be used for housing / transport / food / family vacations etc. it’s not like the kids can live in their own house or drive their own car, they need their mom to have it to care for them

CS doesn’t support the mother and certainly doesn’t pay for 100% of the child’s needs. No one knows what he does, their custody arrangement, or what CS would possibly be for the son.

Well it’s clear she living entirely off of support from ex-husbands which would lean towards child support. I lose a lot of respect for her here.

People with anxiety, OCD, substance abuse and the many other myriad of issues that Kane had aren't rational. He spent many thousands on his custody battles, private detectives, and who knows what else to assuage his paranoia. I wouldn't be surprised if after being fired, he spiraled and overspent.

I can believe the one following natasha (I can totally see how someone would do that if their addict wife quickly brought another addict boyfriend into the kids lives even if i too was an addict in denial....and i wouldn't even say that its irrational to be worried about that situation) but for the others it seems like it'd be easy to get gossip from the people on the show and there's just no reason he'd have a PI on them

He was mentally ill. They found the PI notes all over the basement which is how they found out. He was obsessed with controlling everything around him. That's why he was bugging the office too.
