The average American has only been to 5 of these places, how many have you been to?

Do you count places that you see but don’t actually tour? I grew up here in DC and have never been inside of the pencil or the WH.

+1 I mean, I've been to 12 on that list, but I've also been to a lot of European cities.

I don't really care to go to some of the places on that list anyways.

I have been to 28 foreign countries, but only 21 places on this list. I prefer international travel as well.

I wouldn’t go to Mt Rushmore or Mall of America on a bet. So stupid!! But I have been to all the other places except Road to Hana which I never heard of.

29. I’d still have plans to visit the Badlands again (missed Mt. Rushmore the first time), and Niagara Falls and Lake Tahoe, but I am not going out of my way for the Mall of America.

All of them. I've also been to all 50 states. America is beautiful and people need to get out and see it!

23, but agree with many - half this list is trash. If someone asked me about iconic things to see in the US I would definitely tell them to skip things like the Mall of America (which I have seen. Stopped to see it when I was in the twin cities for work and was really disappointed).

14. But this wouldn’t be my bucket list for America. Most of these places suck. And the list is missing other lame things like Plymouth Rock.
