The average American has only been to 5 of these places, how many have you been to?

Most. The one I had to look up was road to Hana. That is now on my list to visit.

I'm the 8 poster from above and a few of these don't appeal to me (like the French Quarter, Lake Tahoe, Gateway Arch) but I would love to see others like Yellowstone and Yosemite.

We were lucky to live near-ish many of these places w/the military. Travel sports took us to many others.

10. But there are places on this list, such as the Mall of the Americas, that I would never want to visit.

I prefer the Olympic National Park and the Appalachian Trail.

Actually 20, but what a strange list. Are these things supposed to be equivalent? Can you even “visit” the Hollywood sign?

About 20 years ago we drove up as far up as we could go to see how close we could get to it ... and it was still pretty far away!

21 however I’m lacking in visits to national parks. Need to fix that!

16. This is such a random list though. Like why Zion NP and not Great Smokey Mountain NP (the most visited NP)? And what is the River Walk (feel like there are river walks in a lot of cities). As a former resident of Chicago, I find the inclusion of the Chicago River surprising—is it really iconic?

17 - want to go to National Parks and Lake Tahoe. Mall of America isn’t calling my name.
