Road to Hana was the best if you really do it right. Did it twice, once with only wife and other time with kids. Much better when I was younger and just the wife, young kids made it much less enjoyable. |

22, would be 23 but Alcatraz was sold out - had to settle for going around the island on a boat ride.
Mall of America is not a landmark, really. Just a big mall with a bunch of the same stores sprinkled throughout, and a roller coaster in the middle. I did check the box on a layover at MSP. |
8 but I could have visited a lot more because I was in the area. I'm not into tourist stuff. |

18.
But it’s not a particularly great list…particularly if you aren’t into national parks or tourist attractions in random areas. I’d love to see a new list that highlights must see destinations for Americans and visitors from other countries. Better yet: include the destination followed by a list of the top 3-5 top places to see at that destination. |

Many places on this list I wouldn't bother with. Spouse and I love the outdoors. We went to Seattle and couldn't have cared less about the city. We spent a lot of time hiking in the Ho rainforest and along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Hollywood sign - are you kidding? Why? Mall of America? Again why? Who came up with this useless list? A better question would be what would you add to this list? I'd add the Appalachian trail and seeing a play on Broadway. |
