Conor Lamb is the exact opposite of a clown. An intelligent, earnest public servant who keeps his head down and does his job.

No wonder he lost.

I heard a GOP strategist the other day say that Connor Lamb has the personality and resume that the GOP is scared to run against. That said, I think Fetterman has a good chance. Too bad those two didn’t have a chat a year ago where one claimed senate and the other the governorship.

Conor Lamb was a good candidate. Fetterman is just made of scrapple and yuengling. Hope Lamb sticks around

This kind of hateful classism is what’s turning a lot of people against establishment, that is rich and white, Democrats. We need more Fettermans and Chris Smalls and less snobs like you.

Fetterman is going to win and hold a victory kegger.

If the Dems focused on politics voices like Fetterman and Chris Smalls instead of demurring to neoconservative / neoliberal Morning Joe devotees they would literally win every election they were in.

we're trying - alas you don't find a whole warehouse full of them

biden was sort of in that vein, and that was part of his appeal

We need binders full of them!

No one likes Dr. Oz. Well, no one who isn't a MAGA drone.

Blue Dogs like Conor Lamb do well when the political climate is less partisan. They pull voters who are less partisan and want moderate government to function. Blue Dogs don’t do well in a hyper partisan climate because fewer voters are persuadable and their mild agenda doesn’t inspire young voters and minority voters to turn out for them. In the midterms, Republicans are going to vote Republican. Democrats have to turn out young voters and minority voters in big numbers.

Oz plays better than McCormick in the Philly suburbs. McCormick plays better than Oz in the Pittsburgh suburbs.

Fetterman versus Oz presents a huge authenticity contrast that benefits Fetterman.

So I guess Fetterman is another Democrat moderate? Is that what we'll be told? And Oz or McCormick are the extremists?

Oz is a Trumphumper.

Fetterman seems moderate/pragmatic.

He's a mix, which I think is why he's able to appeal to so many people. He has some moderate issues, some libertarian issues, his union stuff can even learn to the right (he's not anti-fracking). Pro-weed, pro-M4A. All wrapped up in a charismatic package.

I am pinning a lot of hopes on this guy, I guess.

The question is completely off base.

The answer to the relevant question is:

(1) Fetterman is a democrat who stands for principles of democracy and freedom

(2) Oz and McCormick both represent typical republicans which, at this point, seek to end democracy and strip all freedoms from Pennsylvanians, in particular, the right to vote. They believe the big lie. They espouse false claims to undermine democracy and they want to shut down freedom in the USA. They are a danger to the country. And they both have almost no connection to PA, haven’t lived there in YEARS AND YEARS if they ever lived there at all and have no FIng idea what matters to ordinary citizens as they are both multi-multi-multi-millionaires. In other words, again, typical republicans who just want to use and abuse citizens for their own gain. DEPLORABLE.

That description was a compliment you ninny.

I'm from PA. If someone told me that I was made of scrapple and Yuengling, I'd be happy. I don't think anyone from PA would consider that an insult (unless you're from Pittsburgh and then maybe it's Iron City Beer and Primanti sandwiches).

Yup. Pittsburgh transplant in the DC area here. It's clear Mr. classism has no clue about Pennsylvania.

So now conservatives are insisting that PA should count all the mail-in ballots too? I thought they were supposed to stop counting and declare a winner at midnight on Election Day.
