Blue Dogs like Conor Lamb do well when the political climate is less partisan. They pull voters who are less partisan and want moderate government to function. Blue Dogs don’t do well in a hyper partisan climate because fewer voters are persuadable and their mild agenda doesn’t inspire young voters and minority voters to turn out for them. In the midterms, Republicans are going to vote Republican. Democrats have to turn out young voters and minority voters in big numbers. [/quote]
