Why didn't Rachel lose her job? 62k on a work card- most people would have been charged in court for theft. Don't understand that.
I don't think Rachel sold out by writing an article or book, as long as she included her own greedy naivete. She was just as cringey as they all were being sucked in by money..Andrew too! Why are people so blinded by money? It's stupid. Why all the sympathy for Anna? And from the reporter who was terribly overacted, why?Anna was delusional and a straight up scam artist. Mentally ill. With reason? Who cares? Lastly, and this is off topic (kind of). Please tell me why designer clothes, shoes, sunglasses, etc., make any difference at all to anyone, in any context. They don't look any different, they are all made in the same places, by the same people, but there are names on them. Everyone is conned all the time, it seems by these items. Her clothes looked like Forever 21 or H and M. Who TF cares? |

I'm am perplexed by this as a human social experiment of sorts. So, all it takes to pose as an upper class socialite is to wear designer clothes head to toe? And if you wear designer clothes banks are willing to give you 20 mil loan?
That is all it takes?

| I binged watched The Tinder Swindler, the Puppet Master, and Inventing Anna this weekend, and Anna was SO poorly done and overacted; it was so disappointing. What is sick, though, is how Anna and the Tinder Swindler are more popular than ever. People are attracted to them no matter what their sociopathy. They’re famous and wear designer Clothes; it doesn’t matter that they are liars, thieves, and grifters who hurt real people. It’s sick. |

Julia Garner did a great job in this, but the actress who played Vivian did a terrible job.
That said, I don't get this worship of Anna either. She's a con artist who ruined lives just to steal luxury goods that she felt entitled to. It's disgusting. This blind worship of wealth is how the wealthy are allowed to hoard resources while the rest of us get screwed. I'm not even a left wing liberal, but I'm amazed how regular people protect the wealthy because they hope to become them one day despite the overwhelming odds that they won't. |

+1 It perplexed me too. And the fact that Anna knew so much about the finance world at such a young age, with no real work experience. I can't even imagine knowing all the right things to say in order to get someone to loan me $20 million! |
