I don’t understand the casting either..and their mannerisms were extremely annoying, like they’re trying to act young. The trainer played by Laverne Cox looked younger to me than the Rachel character but was insulted by her bc she was hanging out with a bunch of 20 somethings. So dumb

Suuper late to this but finally watched. Honestly, wasn't going to watch based on this thread but my SIL enjoyed it so I went ahead. Entertaining, not life changing. I love Julia.

re: Rachel, a few of the actors are from Shondaland shows. "Scandal" and "How to Get Away With Murder". Rachel actress was from the latter. Guess Shonda loves her.

No Rachel actress was Quinn on Scandal. And just as annoying on there.

Thanks, that's right! I found this, I knew there were a few.

She was also recently on the last season of This is Us - and just as annoying as ever.

I kept watching this show thinking I’ve seen the actor who played her attorney somewhere…his mannerisms seemed very familiar to me. So I looked him up on IMDB and smacked myself on the forehead…I went to Indiana with Arian Moayed, and was even in some theater classes with him. I cannot believe I didn’t instantly recognize him, but that was 20 years ago. It’s just funny that what stood out to me was the familiar mannerisms, his way of moving, and his voice, not his face.

I finally read Rachel’s book. I still didn’t find any sympathy for her, probably less then I found in the show. She was a fool playing games in NYC too. Spoiled white girl syndrome who ended up scammed.

- another white girl, but we all know the type

That's so cool - I've only know one person from real life who was onscreen (soap opera) and I think he was pretty bad because I couldn't forget it was him the whole time.

He also plays the very slimy Stewy Hosseini on Succession. Great actor.

He's in Ms. Marvel, too!
I keep thinking he's going to start in with the legalese.
