^ If you think “discrete” Affairs are the ok as long as the cheater still supports the family (and BTW I think this is garbage and just rationalization so you can still feel good about yourself even while doing something sh!tty), why does it have to be discreet? If you really believe it’s right, why not tell your spouse you are going to date and do it publicly?

Amazingly that is exactly what my OP did. Basically said, I do so much for this family and I need this. Carried on this way for two years. They are still married.
